These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to athletes who create or maintain an Athlete Profile on X-CaliberSports.com, as well as their parents or legal guardians when the athlete is a minor.
By creating, approving, or using an Athlete Profile, you agree to these Terms.
1. Athlete Profiles
X-Caliber Athlete Profiles are designed to showcase an athlete’s athletic journey, accomplishments, interests, and participation.
A profile may include:
- Athlete name
- Sport and position
- Team or school
- Graduation year
- Statistics and accomplishments
- Biography
- Photos and videos
- Social-media links
- Athlete-related posts or updates
- Other information approved by X-Caliber
Athletes and their parents or guardians are responsible for providing accurate information and notifying X-Caliber when important information changes.
X-Caliber may edit, remove, or restrict profile information when reasonably necessary for accuracy, safety, privacy, or compliance with these Terms.
2. Parent & Guardian Responsibility
Athletes under 18 must have the permission of a parent or legal guardian to participate.
By approving an athlete’s participation, the parent or guardian confirms that they understand the nature of the X-Caliber platform and agree to help supervise the athlete’s use of it.
Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising their child’s use of X-Caliber and for taking reasonable steps to monitor their child’s conduct, communications, and activity on the platform. Parents and guardians are expected to address inappropriate behavior by their child and should report serious concerns to X-Caliber.
Parents and guardians remain responsible for supervising their child’s online activity and should discuss appropriate online behavior, privacy, communication, and safety with their child.
3. Athlete Conduct
Athletes are expected to use X-Caliber responsibly and treat other athletes, parents, users, and members of the community with respect.
Users may not use X-Caliber to:
- Bully, harass, threaten, or intimidate others;
- Impersonate another person;
- Post inappropriate, offensive, or illegal content;
- Share sexually explicit content;
- Engage in inappropriate communication with minors;
- Create fraudulent accounts or information;
- Attempt to access another person’s account;
- Misuse messaging, social, or profile features; or
- Engage in behavior that creates a safety concern for another user.
X-Caliber may remove content, restrict features, suspend an account, or take other appropriate action when these Terms are violated.
4. Parent & Athlete Safety
X-Caliber provides an online platform and does not replace parental supervision, coaches, schools, athletic organizations, or other responsible adults.
Athletes should use appropriate caution when communicating with people they do not personally know.
Parents and guardians should remain involved in their child’s online activity and should report concerns involving harassment, inappropriate behavior, threats, or potential safety issues to X-Caliber.
5. Photos, Videos & Profile Content
Athletes and parents or guardians may provide photographs, videos, biographies, statistics, achievements, and other content for an Athlete Profile.
You represent that you have permission to provide content that you submit to X-Caliber.
By submitting content, you give X-Caliber permission to store, display, format, and use that content as reasonably necessary to operate and promote the X-Caliber platform.
You retain ownership of content that you own. These Terms do not transfer ownership of your photographs, videos, or other original content to X-Caliber.
6. Public Profile Information
Athletes and parents or guardians understand that an Athlete Profile may be publicly viewable.
Users should not submit sensitive information that they do not want publicly displayed, including:
- Home addresses
- Passwords
- Financial information
- Government identification numbers
- Private medical information
- Other sensitive personal information
X-Caliber may determine which profile information is publicly displayed.
7. Graduation & Archived Profiles
X-Caliber is intended to document an athlete’s journey and accomplishments over time.
After an athlete graduates, ages out, or otherwise completes the applicable athlete program, X-Caliber may change the profile to Archived Athlete status.
An archived profile may remain available as a historical record and may continue to display approved information such as the athlete’s:
- Name
- Sport
- Graduation year
- Achievements
- Statistics
- Photos
- Videos
- Other approved profile information
Archived profiles may have active athlete features, messaging, or other interactive features disabled or restricted.
Archiving does not necessarily mean deletion.
X-Caliber may retain an archived profile and associated information for historical, administrative, legal, security, or platform purposes. X-Caliber may remove or modify publicly displayed information when appropriate or when required by applicable law.
8. Account Suspension or Removal
X-Caliber may suspend, restrict, archive, or remove an Athlete Profile when necessary because of:
- A violation of these Terms;
- False or misleading information;
- Inappropriate conduct;
- Safety concerns;
- Misuse of the platform; or
- Other circumstances that make continued access inappropriate.
Parents or guardians may contact X-Caliber regarding concerns about their child’s profile or participation.
9. Changes to These Terms
X-Caliber may update these Terms when necessary.
Material changes may be communicated through the website, email, account notifications, or another reasonable method.
Continued use of an Athlete Profile after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
10. Agreement
By creating, approving, or using an X-Caliber Athlete Profile, the athlete and, when applicable, the athlete’s parent or legal guardian acknowledge that they have read and agree to follow these Terms.
X-Caliber may establish additional rules or requirements for specific programs, events, or features when necessary.
